INGREDIENTS

The Key Fiber Source in Gut Fix – Its Main Purpose is to help Regulate Stool Firmness, help support satiety and food digestion when eating.

  • While this has Many Benefits and is often used as a Muscle Recovery Supplement. It’s growth and understanding for gut health grows every year.

  • Recent research has shown that the amino acid glutamine can positively affect gut health by supporting the gut microbiome, gut mucosal wall integrity, and by modulating inflammatory responses. As modulated by the vagus nerve, via the enteric nervous system, the gut-brain connection can impact the brain’s neurochemical environment. Poor gut health can disrupt the balance of neurotransmitters, which can result in neuropsychiatric based conditions such as depression. Glutamine supplementation may provide significant adjunctive nutritional support in cases of depression by promoting proper gut health and function.

  • Research suggests that marshmallow is an effective way to help treat certain digestive disorders, including leaky gut syndrome, which develops when particles leak outside tiny openings in the gut lining, allowing them to enter the bloodstream where they can trigger autoimmune reactions.

  • Marshmallow helps restore integrity of the gut lining by forming a protective layer around small junctions, as shown in research on rats. In addition, it seems to be beneficial for other forms of inflammatory bowel diseases, including ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease.

  • DGL’s mode of action is different than that of current drugs, such as antacids and H2-receptor antagonists, which focus on reducing gastric acidity. Although effective, these treatments can be expensive, carry some risk of toxicity, disrupt normal digestive processes, and alter the structure and function of the cells that line the digestive tract. The latter factor is just one of the reasons why peptic ulcers develop again if antacids, cimetidine, ranitidine, and similar drugs are used.

  • Rather than inhibit the release of acid, DGL stimulates the normal defense mechanisms that prevent ulcer formation and stimulate healing of the damaged mucous membranes. Specifically, DGL increases the following

    • The blood supply to the damaged mucosa

    • The number of cells producing the mucus that protects the mucous membranes

    • The amount of mucus the cells produce

    • The life span of the intestinal cell

  • Bovine colostrum is a complex biological fluid replete with growth factors, nutrients, hormones, and paracrine factors which have a range of properties likely to contribute to mucosal healing in a wide range of infective, inflammatory, and injury conditions.

  • Using colostrum for leaky gut is extremely effective. The lactoferrin in bovine colostrum is a powerhouse for promoting muscle growth and healing due to its high amount of antioxidants and growth factors, including insulin like growth-factor-l (IGF-I). Studies show that bovine colostrum supplementation can reduce (7) oxidative stress and overall damage to muscles after exercise, making this a perfect supplement to support athletes. Additional studies (8) also showed that 8 weeks of bovine colostrum supplements increased lean muscle mass and athletic performance.

  • Astaxanthin is a potent antioxidant, with studies showing it provides significantly greater antioxidant protection than the carotenoids beta carotene, lycopene, and lutein as well as alpha-tocopherol, and thus it is considered one of the best agents for protecting cellular membranes

  • With increasing age, we also experience the slowly declining function of many organs and systems, much attributable to oxidative damage and inflammation. Cellular senescence, the reduced ability for cells to grow and proliferate, typifies the aging process and is promoted by oxidative stress and other factors.[20] Therefore, it is not surprising that astaxanthin, with its ability to reduce oxidative damage,[21] promote healthy levels of inflammation,[22] and detoxify the body from environmental factors that trigger a pro-inflammatory and oxidative state,[23],[24] has been shown to help reduce changes we often see with aging.

  • Studies have found that cinnamon might help balance blood sugar in those with type 2 diabetes by increasing glucose uptake, improving insulin sensitivity in fat and muscle tissues, improving glycogen synthesis in the liver, slowing the rate of gastric emptying, and other potential changes.2 These effects are the result of cinnamaldehyde, a compound in all cinnamon varieties. While the research shows some benefit for glucose control, it is still important for those who have diabetes to follow the treatment plan outlined by their physician, as the effects of cinnamon in studies so far do not show adequate changes to be a replacement for medication.3

  • Probiotics are thought to help restore the natural balance of bacteria in your gut (including your stomach and intestines) when it’s been disrupted by an illness or treatment.

  • There’s some evidence that probiotics may be helpful in some cases, such as helping to ease some symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).
